Sensor e.g. wind directly to the instrument Better:
Sensor e.g. wind via bus to instrument, e.g. NMEA 2000 Even better:
Wind speed, etc. via bus to wireless router and from there to iPads/iPhones, tablets, Androids, etc.
No more individual instruments, no instruments for only one purpose...instead: The sensors of the ship - wind, speed, GPS, depth, etc.... then a wireless router.... ... and at the other end iPads, Tablet PCs, iPhones or other smartphones as multi-purpose display instruments. This is much less expensive and less complex than many people think....
