Would you like to know how fast your boat is now and find out about previous max. speeds under the same conditions (wind speed and direction )?

This information tells you whether you "get the most" from your boat or if you have already sailed faster under the same conditions.

Of course, there are factors such as wave, which are not taken into account, but if you see that you were faster by 1 kn under similar conditions something is not quite right with the trim.

This is also a great training tool.
You are always sailing against your personal best.
The "target speed" is also available from the designer of the ship but certainly not for all types.

Our app replaces these polar graphs with "live" values. ​

Technical requirements:
All it takes is NMEA on the ship and a wireless router - and this is much easier to implement than many think.

It uses "MWV" and "VHW" out of the NMEA dataset

The App stores the wind direction in 5 degree increments and the speed in 1 kn increments.
